Within the DIY rewire-your-whole-bike food chain, the m-Unit Basic is an evolutionary step forward from the very popular mo-Unit V2 and it only lacks the Bluetooth functionality found on the mo-Unit Blue. All told, there’s 12 input channels on one side then 10 output channels on the other. Designing electrical circuits and wiring up your bike is still a difficult task, however the mo-Unit Basic makes it easy as it can be since it has been specifically engineered for the job. With the mo-Unit Basic, circuits are digitally monitored -this means if you have an overload somewhere, the circuit will be tripped and an LED next to your output will flash. Correct the issue, re-cycle the mo-Unit and get back on the road.
